Local School Choirs Shine at Clash of the Choirs Event

On Saturday, March 23rd, the melodious voices of Wedmore First School and Hugh Sexey Middle School choirs harmonised together at the annual Clash of the Choirs event held at St. Mary’s Church in Wedmore.

In a heartwarming display of talent and unity, the young singers took the stage alongside adult choirs, becoming the highlight of the evening. Their performance was nothing short of spectacular, captivating the audience and earning thunderous applause that resonated throughout the church.

Despite being the only children’s choirs among their adult counterparts, they proved their mettle and left an indelible mark on the event. Their impeccable conduct and outstanding performances garnered praise from all quarters, leaving organisers and attendees thoroughly impressed.

Reflecting on the success of the evening, Siobhan Johnson, PPA Music Teacher, expressed excitement about the prospect of bringing both choirs back next year, expressing the excitement already for future performances.
