Renowned DJ Will Clarke Returns to Hometown to Inspire Next Generation of Musicians

On Friday 19 January, students from Kings Academy and Fairlands Middle School were treated to an inspiring talk by renowned international DJ, Will Clarke. Having grown up in Cheddar and an alumnus of both schools, Will eagerly returned to his hometown to share his journey to global recognition in the realm of dance music.

Growing up on the outskirts of Bristol, a hub of musical heritage, Will discovered his passion for DJing at the tender age of 17 during a transformative trip to Ibiza. Following his initial stint on the party island, he pursued his education in Music Technology at Bridgewater and Taunton College. However, upon completing his studies, Will’s adventurous spirit led him to explore new opportunities, eventually leading him to Detroit, where he now divides his time with Somerset.

Following his talk, Will graciously engaged with students, offering invaluable advice on navigating the music industry. The event was met with enthusiasm and appreciation from all attendees, sparking hopes for future visits from the esteemed alumni to continue inspiring the next generation of musicians at Kings Academy and Fairlands Middle School.
