Meeting with Lucy Livings, Regional Director of the DfE

September 17, 2024

Yesterday was a significant day for the Wessex Learning Trust as our central team had the privilege of meeting with Lucy Livings, the Department for Education’s Regional Director, at Nailsea School. This discussion was an invaluable opportunity for us to review our current operations, share our vision for the future, and gain insights into the evolving educational landscape.

Members of the Wessex Learning Trust and the DfE stood in front of Nailsea School

We engaged in a comprehensive dialogue about how we are currently functioning as a Trust and explored strategies for enhancing our support for learners and their families. We emphasised our commitment to providing a high-quality educational experience and outlined our plans to further strengthen this commitment in the coming months.

The meeting underscored the importance of collaboration between the Trust and the Department for Education. Lucy’s feedback and the guidance provided will help us refine our strategies and implement effective measures that benefit our learners, staff and local communities.

We are excited about the future and confident that our ongoing efforts, guided by the insights from this meeting, will lead to even greater achievements. Our focus remains on creating a nurturing and dynamic learning environment where our Learners have the opportunity to thrive.

We will keep you updated on our progress and any new developments as we continue to work closely with the DfE to achieve our shared goals.
