Mark First School and Brent Knoll Primary Schools Celebrate Tradition with Joyful Country Dancing Event!
June 17, 2024
Earlier this term learners at Mark First School and Brent Knoll Primary School came together to share in the ancient tradition of country dancing at a celebratory performance for parents and careers.
Hosted on the playground of Brent Knoll Primary school, dancers and their families made the most of sunny weather to showcase the hard work children had put into learning these traditional folk dances. The event provided a fantastic spectacle for the friends and families who came along to watch, with the children’s brightly coloured costumes adding to the vibrancy of the event.
At the end of the performance, members of the amassed audience were even invited to join in with the final dance, providing everyone with the chance to join in with the fun.
It’s safe to say that the event was a hit with both children and spectators, and we are very proud to see our schools playing a part in keeping this ancient tradition alive. A huge thanks mut be extended to staff members Sam Stockham, Tegan Greenwood and Kerry D’Ovidio for their hard work in putting this wonderful event together.
